You have been invited to a Doodle group poll and would like to know how to participate? We'll show you how!
Check out the video below, or keep reading for a step-by-step guide.
Step-by-step guide for participating in Group polls:
If you have a Doodle account, make sure to log in at the top right corner. You don't need to have a Doodle account to participate, but you will have to enter your name and email after voting so that the organizer of the poll knows who you are.
Check the meeting information
In the participation view, you'll see all the meeting information on the left side of the screen - here you can see who created the poll, where it'll take place, a meeting description, and who else is invited to the poll.
Select your calendar(s)
In the lower-left corner, you can select your connected or shared calendars to be reflected on the participation page. That way, you can make sure not to select options where you are already busy or booked.
Check the proposed time slots:
On the voting table, you can see all the time slots you can vote for.
You can vote for the time slots as follows:
1) YES - click one time on the box for this slot
2) NO - leave the box empty for this slot
3) IF-NEED-BE - click two times on the box for this slot
If you'd like to decline the entire group poll, you can either choose not to vote for anything or click "decline". If you click "decline" you will still appear in the poll as a participant that voted "NO" for all time slots.
Once you have selected the options you'd like to vote for, click "submit your selection" in the lower right corner.
Make sure to check the little arrows in the top right corner of the group poll - there might be more options in another week.
Stay tuned for updates
Make sure you stay in the loop with any changes to the poll, or when others participate.
Click on "get event updates" after you have participated. You can always remove this again at a later time.
If you want to edit your selection, you find this option here as well.
