How do I connect my iCloud (Apple) Calendar to Doodle?

Note: This calendar has several names depending on where you use it: iCloud Calendar, Apple Calendar, or iCal. They all refer to the same type of calendar and we will refer to them as iCloud Calendar in this article.

Before you begin, we recommend you open two browser tabs to complete the connection: open your doodle account settings in one tab and your Apple account page in another.

Check out the video below to learn how to connect your iCloud Calendar to Doodle, or keep reading for a detailed step-by-step guide.

1. Retrieve your app-specific password from Apple

In order to connect your iCloud Calendar to Doodle, you'll need to generate an app-specific password from your Apple account. This is not your regular Apple password.

Apple requires both an app-specific password and two-factor authentication to connect with third-party applications such as Doodle.

Follow the steps below to retrieve your app-specific password:

  1. Log into your Apple account.
  2. Under "Sign-in and Security", turn on two-factor authentication if you haven't done so already.
  3. Under "App-Specific Passwords", select "Generate an app-specific password" or "+".
  4. Give the password a password label (for example, "Doodle").
  5. Click "create".
  6. Copy the app-specific password that is presented to you.

Note: We recommend that you save your newly created app-specific password to your password vault or wherever you securely store your passwords.
